Justification in Hypocrisy?

How do you feel about Hypocrites? Seriously, take 10seconds and say out loud what you really think about people who give advice they can't take and make rules they don't follow. Got it? Now apply all of that feeling toward yourself because there's at least a 99% chance you are a Hypocrite too. Most of you probably just IMMEDIATELY disagreed then made an excuse as to why it's okay when you do it... Ironic huh? Lets go through a few examples...

 

Death Penalty vs Commandments

Even if you are not a Religious person you understand that the United States has been defined as "One Nation Under God." With that Being said, if the 6th Commandment states "Thou Shalt Not Kill" then how exactly is the practice of the Death Penalty even up for debate?

Now I know someone is probably saying, "But there's also a saying, Do Unto Others as You Would Have Done Unto You" but the missing component of that guideline (not commandment) is that it does not say "Do Unto Others as they Have Done Unto You (and/or Others)" Vengeance is a Sin just as much as Killing. Sinning to rectify a Sin seems Asinine to me.

Prostitution vs Porn

I've seen the question a lot and Hoes on the stroll are looked down upon while Porn Stars are envied by some (which Is Pretty Disgusting). Hookers/Gigolos and Porn Stars both perform sexual acts and Get Paid. But if Prostitutes get caught on Tape they are going to jail for Solicitation, if it's a Porn star they're get paid Thousands of dollars... huh?

This all started in the 50's when Porn was legally not considered an Obscenity by the Supreme Court. The difference that was agreed upon was: Prostitutes are paid for Sexual Pleasure, Porn Stars are paid for being filmed and sexual gratification is not part of the agreement. When I heard that my jaw DROPPED. So you mean to tell me if a Hooker doesn't promise me an orgasm and just agrees to blow me for 20mins on Camera that I am no longer breaking the law? Now That's Gangsta. Great Job Supreme court.

Appreciating Armed Forces vs Hating Cops

Me, I am lucky enough to live in the Most Powerful Nation in the World and I'm damn proud of it. There are people that work hard, risking their lives everyday to ensure that I can say and do things I want to continue to live my life the way I choose. But How can you appreciate people who enlist to protect you from Overseas Threats and get mad at Police officers that do it in your immediate area?

But of course I've had people say things like, "But Cops are corrupt, they do this that and the third to Harass me when I'm doing something that may look wrong even though I'm not" And what exactly do the Armed Forces do? Matter of Fact We've designed specific branches of the Armed Forces to do EXACTLY that. Have you heard of the CIA? Marines? Secret Service? What the hell do think we are doing in these other countries? We Protect Freedom by Instilling Fear, that's how being in Charge works. Its been like that since the beginning of time, and will be so until the end of it. If you don't understand that than you have been thoroughly Brainwashed. While I don't Like these actions by any means, I cannot be a hypocrite and only pay attention to what fits my agenda either... I'm better than that and you should be too.

 

The Basis of what I'm trying to say is if your rules Only apply to you, or people in your situation then they are by definition biased and Unjust, Thinking in that manner will only hold back. I understand you are a collection of your experiences but if you can't elevate past them, you will never be better than you were. I feel Justice cannot be found in Hypocrisy. I'm not saying you can't be a Hypocrite, just don't EVER complain about things being unfair if you choose to do so.
