Proposition 23: Jobs Or Health

Have you guys heard of what's going on in Sacramento?

In Nov there is a vote going on to suspend a bill (Global Warming Act of 2006) that voted to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions back to the levels of 1990 by 2020. That is an INCREDIBLE accomplishment with all the industrialization that has occurred in the last 3 decades. Right now Sacramento is one of the Top 5 cleanest cities in the US and they aimed to created 100,000 new "Green" Jobs in promoting a better Health Living Environment to its citizens and the Smog free landscape the Local Governments are proud of. So why is this being brought up for debate?

Racism in Entertainment

Racism is so prevalent in todays culture even though many think its dead. For many the signs are not as obvious as to others. Police Profiling, Court Rulings, heck even in Television and Movies nowadays. Lemme give an Example:

Setting: Urban Tenaments 

Character: Michael

Personality: Angered by his environment. Mentality Twisted from being raised in a broken home

Character Flaw: He must learn to trust to make it out of the hood, but has learned that in life no one is above backstabbing

Now let me ask you this... If this were the plot to a movie you heard about, What Race would you expect the Young Man to be?

Justification in Hypocrisy?

How do you feel about Hypocrites? Seriously, take 10seconds and say out loud what you really think about people who give advice they can't take and make rules they don't follow. Got it? Now apply all of that feeling toward yourself because there's at least a 99% chance you are a Hypocrite too. Most of you probably just IMMEDIATELY disagreed then made an excuse as to why it's okay when you do it... Ironic huh? Lets go through a few examples...

Religion: Hot Topic… Why?

Too often people cannot have civilized convo about religion without getting Hot Headed. Why is this? Simply put, there is no Universal Right Answer. Doesn't mean it can't be discussed and Debated and The way I figure it... If you can't tolerate other religions because of yours, then you clearly have the wrong one. Your faith/Lack Of Faith shouldn't be based on Proving all other solutions wrong, it's about yours being right FOR YOU. Big Difference.

I think too often people focus on all the differences as opposed to the similarities to search for Truth. People fear what they don't know, but then don't educate themselves on what they don't understand. I guess Ignorance is Bliss for those weak minded. No amount of education will hurt my Belief in My God... it CAN'T. If you do not believe that then maybe you should reevaluate your Views on Religion. But I want to make a list for those who want to engage to assist in keeping the discussions civil...
